Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Lens Personal Reviews

Introduction to Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD:

The Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD was announced in February 2012, just a day before the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM. The headline feature is indicated by the 'VC', which stands for 'Vibration Control; it's the first and only image-stabilized fast normal zoom for full frame cameras. As comport a finest SLR lens which has an ultrasonic-type autofocus motor for quick and noiseless focusing, and it features a degree of weather seal. Put together, this makes it individual 24-70mm lens currently in the market. The Tamron 24-70mm ƒ/2.8 Di VC USD can be used in Nikon and Canon lens mounts. It is a full-frame friendly lens, meaning it will work on both full-frame and sub-frame bodies, on which it will provide an comparable field of view of 36-105mm for Nikon camera or 38-112mm for Canon camera.

Body Design and Controls:

Tamron's new lens design format uses a very modern type face, and a spotted black matte finish. The lens mount is made of metal, filter ring of plastic, and there is weather seals included into the lens design. The lens features full-time manual and autofocus so you can turn the focusing ring to adjust focus manually at any time. There are two switches on this lens: to enable or to disable autofocus. The lens aperture is made with nine rounded diaphragm blades.

The zoom ring is about 1 1/4" wide with a wavy, rubber coating. The ring takes nearly 80 degrees to turn throughout the whole zoom range. The lens doesn't use a domestic zoom design, so there is lens conservatory as the lens zooms out to 70mm: the lens will enlarge by 1 1/4". We didn't notice any lens move stealthily at all; however the lens has a zoom lock button in case.

The lens features Vibration Control image stabilization system. It’s from full-frame 24-70mm lenses to do so. It gives around three stops of hand-holding enhancement. The lens ships with the HA007 lens hood, a petal-shaped hood that's grooved on the interior to decrease sparkle. The lens uses a spike mount and can be overturned for storage.

At f/2.8 focal length we captured a image by focusing at one point and the result is given below so it'll be more convenient for you to control the focal length and auto focus manually to shoot quality images.

The Tamron 24-70mm ƒ/2.8 (For Canon, For Nikon) offers good but not great results for sharpness, particularly when used wide open at ƒ/2.8. When stopped down, image sharpness improves considerably.
The lens normally handles chromatic aberration pretty well, though at wider focal lengths Chromatic Aberration becomes more apparent when the lens is stopped down, showing up as light magenta-cyan fringing in the corners in areas of high contrast. Corner shading is insignificant when the lens is mounted on a sub-frame camera but on the full-frame we note considerable corner shading - exclusively at the 24mm focal length setting. At ƒ/2.8 and 24mm corners which are over a full stop darker than the center;

other focal lengths are lenient, but corner shading will always be an issue if you shoot full-frame with this lens. Autofocus is conducted electronically, without the use of a mechanical screw. It takes less than one second to focus from perpetuity to adjoining focus, and it's very calm as it does so. The front element doesn't rotate throughout focus operations, assembly the use of a polarizing filter that much easier.
